Debbie's Beginners Class..

Were back again, with Debbie's beginners class!
Debbie (also one of our event organisers) has created 2 simple page layouts for our beginners class...

This class, will be a little different to the others, like the other classes you will have the opportunity to create these layouts, but you will also be taught how to sort your photographs and how to create simple pages using different tools.
Tools will be provided for this class..if you are taking part you will need 3 portrait Christmas themed photos for one layout. For the second you will need 3 portrait and one landscape picture - Debbie has used 'snow themed' pictures but the layout is quite versatile and normal photos could also be used.
*Please note - we have had lots of questions regarding booking classes - you do not need to pre book these, you will be able to do this on the day. We wanted to show you all of the classes and give you details of what pictures to bring etc, so you can decide which ones you would like to do and be prepared for them, I hope this helps! *

Wendy's Layout Sneak Peak...

Today were popping in to show you Wendy's sneak picture of her layout class..

It looks fab doesn't it? If you would like to take part in Wendy's layout class on the day, you will need 1 6x4 landscape picture. Wendy's layout is not a Christmas themed layout, so your picture can be anything!
Although our kit is using the Echo Park range, everybody loves Christmas, the reverse of the papers are all normal patterned papers rather than a Christmas theme, So this layout shows, just how versitile it can be.
Unfortunatly due to circumstances beyond Wendy's control, she will be unable to attend on the day..disapointing we know :( but the class will still go ahead, but be taught instead by the Big Event Team!
Thank you Wendy for creating this class for us!

Karen's gift boxes class will not require anything, all resources will be provided and the materials used are entirely from the kits.
All of the ladies that have booked will be recieving an email later in the week to remind you of everything that you will need to know for the day.
If anyone has any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us!

Introducing our Guest Designers ~ Wendy McKee

Today I would like to introduce you to our final Guest Designer...
Wendy McKee

About Wendy

'...Hi My name is Wendy...I live in a small town in the south east of England...right near the sea. I live here with my husband of 10 years and my gorgeous 6 year old boy. I have been scrapbooking for over 6 years now, since I went to a creative memories party at my sister's work and I have made some amazing friends along the way. I very quickly accumulated enough stuff to fill a scrapbooking room and spend as much time in there as possible. I love making pages, cards or anything that I can find that can be altered in some way!

When I am not in my scrapbooking room I can be found taking photos of everything...reading or trying to beat my son at Monopoly.

I have been lucky to design for several companies over the last few years...i am proud at the moment to design for American Crafts, Zva Creative, My Scrapbook Nook, Midnight Rooster and also for Papermaze. I am looking forward to seeing you all at the big event...Wendy x'

Thank you Wendy for being a part of our fab team! We are really looking forward to seeing your class!

Ok so in our next post, we will be sneaking a peak at our kit, which our designers will be using to create their classes! This will be optionally availible for purchasing on the day as well.

See you soon!

Introducing our third Guest Designer ~ Debbie Logan

Good Morning, today I am going to introduce you to our third Guest Designer...

Debbie Logan

About Debbie

'Hi, I'm Debbie and I live in Suffolk with my partner Alan. I have always loved photography and being creative, I have now been scrapbooking for around 20 years. I first discovered scrapbooking when I saw a Creative Memories stall at The Suffolk showground. I was immediately hooked and signed up to be a Creative Memories consultant. I spent several years as a consultant and in that time I introduced numerous people to the craft of scrapbooking. I have run workshops and classes and visited WI groups to talk about scrapbooking. I have recently completed my first digital album of a holiday to Canada, which I really enjoyed doing. I am really looking forward to teaching at this event!'

Thank you Debbie for being part of the team! Debbie is also part of the organising team, so she will certainly be a familiar face on the day!

We will be back soon with our forth and final designer!

Introducing our Guest Designers ~ Karen Leonard

Today we continue to welcome our Guest Designers and today I would like to introduce you to...
Karen Leonard
About Karen

'Hi I'm Karen and I live in Suffolk, with my husband, two teenage daughters and Bazzil our dog.
I discovered scrapbooking in 2006, and was so happy to have found something which satisfied my craving for 'sticking and glueing'; something me and my eldest daughter used to do for hours when she was a toddler!
I've always enjoyed craft activities of some sort or another, and have my friend Evelyn to thank for introducing me and my girls to scrapbooking.
I've been lucky enough to have worked with Vanessa and Lesley at Papermaze in Otley, for nearly 4 years, in which time I have learnt so much and met some amazing people with a real passion for paper. I have enjoyed designing several Layout kits for the monthly crop and creating pages to display on the shop walls, which hopefully provided some inspiration for customers.
I love making pages with layers and 3D elements, generally ones I have made myself. I don't tend to buy ready made embellishments so my kits and projects are usually very 'D.I.Y'!
If there was one product I couldn't do without, it's ink pads; I don't think I could create a page without inking some edges!
I'm very much looking forward to designing a project for a class at 'The Big Event'.'

Thank you Karen for being a part of our team, and we are very much looking forward to your class!

Check back tomorrow, for our next guest designer!

Introducing our Guest Designers ~ Louise Collins

I am very pleased to begin introducing our guest designers...The guest designers will be teaching classes on the day, using the kit that will be available to purchase. More details on the kit over the next few weeks. But now, lets introduce you to our first designer..

Louise Collins

About Lou

'Hi, my name is Lousie and I am married with two young children, plus two older stepchildren.

I have been scrapping for two years, and was a card maker two years prior to this. I have appeared live on QVC's Craft show, and was awarded 'Scrapbooker of the Year Runner-Up' by The Scrapbook Magazine in 2009. I am now part of the Scrapbook Magazine's Design Team, and although I have designed for kit companies, I am currently concentrating on my new job, working for Papermaze!

I have two styles which I often use, which are: distressed and flowery, and bold and masculine! They are total opposites so I tend to alternate between the two. I love to use white space on a page, and like to add little finds such as clothing tags, barcodes, pins, buttons and labels.'

Thank you Lou for being part of the Team we look forward to seeing your class!

Keep checking back over the next few days to see the rest of our designers.
